Nestled in a quaint neighborhood of Scanlon, Mn. is the Lost Tavern. There aren't very many Neighborhood taverns around anymore and this one is celebrating 60 years existence this year (2001).

It hasn't always been at its current location. And has had different names and several different owners. Here's a brief discription of what we know.

In 1941 Jake Burgraff opened Jake's place on the lower part of 22nd just across from the Diamond Match. It would have been close to the area where a firewood contractor exists(ed).

At some point in time Jake moved it to its present location on 22nd street in Scanlon.

Next, and were not sure in which order. It was owned by Ernie Johnson and than Clayton Coatup. When it became known as Lost Tavern were unsure of.

In the late 60's it was owned by Ken and Art Hendrickson.

It was then purchased by Al and Lois Ziehl in 1971.

1992 saw James and Cynthia Skagerberg take over from Al and Lois.

Currently "Monk" Montgomery is the owner operator.  Carrying on the Lost Tavern legacy to 75 years and counting.

Thank you.
